The Christian Education Committee has developed this Spiritual Formation Checklist in order to establish measurable steps that will help us meet our Mission Statement goals.
Christian Education Mission Statement: To equip the Church and community through Christian Education by transforming our thoughts, deeds and actions to make disciples for Christ.
Pre-K
- Know who Jesus is
- Be able to say a simple prayer
- Know the name of the Church and the Pastor
- Be able to sing one Christian song
- Recite one of God's promises
Elementary Level:
- Review the above objectives
- Be familiar with the books of the Bible
- Recite the 23rd Psalm
- List the Fruit of the Spirit
- Be familiar with the patriarchs of the Bible
- Be familiar with the Christian calendar
- Be able to recite the prayer of salvation
Middle School Level:
- Review all of the above objectives
- Complete confirmation class with the Pastor
- Recite the Lord's Prayer
- Be familiar with more Bible stories
High School Level:
- Review all of the above objectives
- Recite the Beatitudes
- Delve deeper into the scriptures
- Cover lessons in responsibility and commitment
- Participate in Church worship services and Church community activities
- Cover lessons that prepare students for becoming Christian Educators
Adults:
- Review all of the above objectives
- Study skills for building Christian community
- Learn how to resolve conflict
